Setting and colour 

LO: TO EXPLORE THE USE OF SETTING AND COLOUR IN FILMS 

SETTING:

1. They could set a horror movie there because it can easily be turned into a perfect setting because its isolated and eery.

2. They could set this there because for an action movie a busy place is there perfect setting for an action movie.

3. They could set a comedy romance movie because you could like have like a romance part on the beach and also it could have some funny parts in the beach aswell.

Colour

1. I think for a super hero its easy because its classic due to DC and MARVEL  such as superman wonder woman.

2. A black suit is perfect for a villain because it shows an eery feel and black represents evil such as darth vader.

SETTING AND COLOUR 

Where does the action take place? City, Africa , Space , Headquarters.

Why do you think the story set in that particular place? Because it is showing  loads of point of views and characters.

The settings change when they show different  characters because  why else would there be loads of characters.

Foley is the reproduction of the every day sounds for use in film making.  They can be anything from swishing of clothing, footsteps,squeaky doors to breaking glass.It helps to create a sense of reality within a scene.

Godzilla

Mohammad Lee is an average bloke he works at tescos. He doesn't  really havent a relationship with Steve.

Chris pratt who is a actor uses apple products and he likes steve.

4. Whilst they where heading towards the bunker sheldon slips and falls on  a rock paralysing him from the waist down and then eventually a bit of magma burns him to death.

5. Mohammad Lee and steve jobs argue about a piece of bread. Resulting in a fight between the two.  Steve jobs wins with the help of Chris pratt making Mohammad injured.

6. Steve jobs spends years in the bunker with Mohammad and chris and eventually  the volcano stops erupting. However all of the human race is gone apart from the 3 men from the bunker making it the end of the human race.

7. they die of starvation because they run out of food.

The characters are blokes trapped in elevators inside the twin towers.

They call their children and family because they think they are gonna die. They lay down on the elevator floor whilst the elevator goes crashing down.

Godzilla King Of The Monsters

The humans find the island Godzilla is on then they get scared of him and bomb it then loads of monsters attack Usa and Godzilla saves them from the monsters.

The Tunnel

There is a man trying to save his daughter.

Its in Norway in the Mountains.

He tries to rescue her from fires and explosions.

The props used are the Vehicles.

The colours are dull.

The impossible 

A family is on a vacation in Thailand and the disaster is a tsunami.

The wooden building all got destroyed and the dad got separated from his family.

Ad Astra 

The main characters are a space crew and its set in space.

There are lots of explosions making it dramatic.

The props used: Space suit. rocket ship.

Jonathan David - Average bloke doesn't contribute much to the human species some people think of him as an npc

Chris pratt- Famous actor who is a mega rich.

Nasa has reported that an astroid is hitting the sun and there is 25% chance of it missing and that sadly there is nothing they can do.

Luckly Nasa have created pods that con hold up to 6 people in each pod.

However with shortage of time they had they could only create 12.

Everyone is panicking a the prices of food, gas and electricity go sky flying up.

everyday nasa are reporting the chances that we have surviving and its getting slimmer and slimmer each day.

by day 5 its on a 10% chance of missing and they are now choosing the people to be launched off to space  in the pods.

Equilibrium; greg heffley has started middle school

Disruption; he wants to be popular and he broke his best friends arm giving him a cast and making him popular. Greg is jealous.

Recognition of disruption; Greg and rowley fall out over it, Rowley moves on to a new best friend and greg hangs out with freggly. 

New equilibrium; rowley and greg become friends again after greg stands up for rowley when he was being bullied.

The Gaffer, or Chief Lighting Technician is the head of the Lighting Department on a film set. They work in pre-production and production to help achieve the desired cinematic image through setting up lights and running cables, they make 19-129k a year.

ADR mixer, ADR Mixers correct dialogue and sound that was problematic in the original production. They remove background noise, re-record dialogue with lip-synching and clean up production audio, they make around 51-114k a year.

pre production = all the brainstorming and planning that happens before cameras start rolling.

production = The raw footage and other elements of the film are recorded during the film shoot, including principal photography.

post production = the editing of audio and visual materials to create a film.

film distribution = Distribution is about releasing and sustaining films in the market place.

Minions Marketing 

They took over snapchat.

They took over mcdonalds and NYC cabs.

they were promoted on bus stops,busses and clothes.

There was trailers all over the internet, the voice actors went on talk shows promoting the movie.

They all use a bold font.

They use grey ish/ blue  colours   [depending on the disaster.]

They normally have the disaster as the main photo.

The actors are normally the same [ect the rock.]

The tag lines are normally a way to try add some drama and suspension. 

 

This poster suggests that its a disaster movie by including characters struggling to cross a bridge in a snowy environment which i am guessing its set in mount everest due to the fact the movie is called 'Everest.'

The font style that they have chosen to use is a Bold and capitalised font, this is quite common for disaster movies.

The grey and blue colour palette blend in well together to create a depressing / dangerous / Erie  setting.

The awards the 'Everest' by William Nicholson  won over 5 awards for its outstanding effects, great performances by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture and its breath taking visuals and animated projects.

The production stage for minions
